Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Migraine Action would like to wish all Migraine Adventure members and young migraineurs a very happy New Year - and we hope that your migraines improve (or disappear!) in 2010.

A few quick tips that might help if you follow them in the coming months include:

  • Make sure you eat regularly: aim to eat at regular times during the day and don't eat lots of sugary snacks to help keep your blood sugar levels stable
  • Drink enough water: try to have two litres of water (or other soft drinks) a day, but don't have lots of drinks full of sweeteners or caffeine, like cola
  • Get enough sleep: and try to keep to the same sleep patterns, as late nights or even lie-ins at the weekend can trigger attacks for some children
  • Get some fresh air and exercise every day - just a quick walk each day can help
  • Take action fast: learn to recognise warning signs that an attack may be starting - then take action fast or ask for help
  • Manage your migraine: remember there are lots of ways to help manage the condition and Migraine Action can offer lots of advice.

You can find lots of advice under the migraine information button, or contact us for an Adventure pack if you've not had one already.

If you have your own migraine resolution for this year, why not tell us about it in our current competition and you could win a special gift voucher.

Good luck in managing your migraine in 2010!
