The week aims to encourage people with migraine to seek information and advice and to help those who don't have migraine to understand more about the condition. Each year we send out thousands of posters and leaflets to members, supporters, doctors and pharmacies to help raise awareness.
To support Migraine Awareness Week, why not organise a fundraising event to take place during the week? (There are lots of ideas in the fundraising part of the website).
To help raise awareness, why not ask your school if you can organise a health day during the week? You can put up a display of Migraine Action's materials and help others at your school to understand. Just get in touch if you would be willing to help in this way and we can give you lots of support.
You could also ask your parents / carers to promote Migraine Awareness Week at their place of work.
If you would like to write a report for a newspaper talking about your migraine, please email us.
Every year we hold the 'Migraine Heroes Healthcare Awards'. This gives you the chance to tell us about the people who have helped you to cope with your migraine. It could be a teacher, teaching assistant or group leader who has helped you; a friend; a parent or carer who has helped you to cope, or someone at your medical centre who has made a real difference.
We will be accepting entries from Spring 2010 so come back to this page to download your entry form.
(Nominations for this award can be assisted by your parents / carers).
