To celebrate Migraine Awareness Week, which takes place from 5th - 11th September, Migraine Action will be hosting a special event for children and young people with migraine and their families in Glasgow on Saturday 11th September.
Dr Ishaq Abu-Arafeh, a consultant paediatrician from the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Glasgow, who helped Migraine Action develop this website and our information packs for young migrainuers, will be giving a talk on the day.
Information will be given on the causes, symptoms and treatment of migraine in children and young people. The event will also feature workshops on managing childhood migraine at home and at school and how a pharmacist can help.
The event will take place at The Mitchell Library, North Street, Glasgow, G3 7DW, between 10.00am and 2.30pm. It costs just £15.00 for families to attend, which includes refreshments and lunch.
