MY MIGRAINE...by Lorna

MY MIGRAINE...by Lorna

I started having migraines when I was about 2.

No one knew what they were so it didn't really matter. I was diagnosed with migraine when I was about 7. They weren't too bad. They started to get bad when I was 8. I had three every week and had to miss out on quite a few activities. My mum took me to the GP and they said that i might grow out of them or I might not.

Nothing happened and I kept on getting headaches still. Mum took me again and they sent me to the hospital to get a scan. The results were fine but I still got headaches.

Eventually I had such a bad headache that mum rushed me to the hospital to see a doctor. He decided to put me on the pizotifen tablet. They worked really well so the doctor took me off them. I immediately started getting migraines again so he put me back on them. Just recently the tablets stopped working so I had my pizotifen doubled. I am fine for now.

To all those migraine sufferers I know how you feel.
