MY MIGRAINE...by Lois
Hi,
I am called Lois and I am 10 years old.
I get seriously bad migraines and they are a pain in the head for me (expression) and I have them about 2 or sometimes even 4 a month and I am suffering from one now this has lasted 3 weeks and now I am taking tablets such as ibruprofen and paracetamol. I used to take codeine but it made me throw up and when I was little I took calpol which never cured the pain. This migraine I get used to be severe vomiting and has turned into this it is so painfull and sometimes I feel like I am going to pass out it is so bad.
And when I go to school people including the teachers treat me like an alien. I hate it obviously because I am not there alot I miss out on wonderfull things like today I missed out on a cake sale.
When I read some other peoples stories on here it made me feel better knowing I am not the only one. I read a girls story called Rochelle her migraines are like mine it is severe pain and it causes stress in my family. Now I take pizotifen which can make a difference and ibruprofen (nurofen) and paracetamol but i take an adults dose even though i am 10 thats how bad it gets.
